Choose the Preferred Network
All students should connect to the campus network using the NEMCC-Secure Wi-Fi network while on campus. The NEMCC-Secure Wi-Fi network will:
- improve security and encryption.
- protect against unauthorized use.
- increase bandwidth availability.
- provide a better and safer user experience.
If you have a Wi-Fi enabled device, you can access the Internet from most locations on campus. You will need to use your NETid to login.
- Students will enter username@tigers.nemcc.edu and password.
- Employees will enter username@nemcc.edu and password.
Connecting to NEMCC-Secure Wi-Fi
- Choose NEMCC-Secure from your device’s wireless options.
- Enter in your Username and Password
Connecting to NEMCC-Guest Network
- Choose NEMCC-Guest from your device’s wireless options.
The NEMCC-Guest network is open to all guests of the college. We recommend all faculty, staff, and students to connect to the NEMCC-Secure while on campus.
Connecting to a Residence Hall Network
Student Housing uses a different network that enables the use of Gaming Consoles, Streaming Devices, and most other smart devices in the Residence Halls.
Most rooms have been upgraded with individual or shared access points to ensure a higher quality of Wi-Fi service.
Mississippi Hall (New Annex Only) - Wi-Fi, Streaming Devices, and Gaming Systems
Rooms in the new annex of Mississippi Hall have been upgrade and have their own Wi-Fi access point.
- Choose MS-### from your device's wireless options. Where ### is your room number.
- Enter the password from the card located in your room.
- A username is not required.
Mississippi Hall - Wi-Fi
- Connect to the "Dorms-Secure" wireless network.
- Enter your Username and Password
Mississippi Hall - Streaming Devices and Gaming Systems
- Connect to the "Dorms-Open" wireless network.
Murphy Hall (Beginning August 2024) - Wi-Fi, Streaming Devices, and Gaming Systems
Suites in Murphy Hall have been upgraded and share a single Wi-Fi access point with the adjoining suite.
- Choose MURPHY-###/### from your device's wireless options. Where ###/### represents the room number(s) of your assigned room.
- Enter the password from the card located in your room or from the dorm proctor.
- A username is not required.
White Hall (Beginning July 2024) - Wi-Fi, Streaming Devices, and Gaming Systems
Suites in White Hall have been upgraded and share a single Wi-Fi access point with the adjoining suite.
- Choose White-###/### from your device's wireless options. Where ###/### represents the room number(s) of your assigned room.
- Enter the password from the card located in your room or from the dorm proctor.
- A username is not required.
Wood Hall - Wi-Fi
- Connect to the "Dorms-Secure" wireless network.
- Enter your Username and Password
Wood Hall - Streaming Devices and Gaming Systems
- Connect to the "Dorms-Open" wireless network.
Yarber Hall - Wi-Fi
- Connect to the "Dorms-Secure" wireless network.
- Enter your Username and Password
Yarber Hall - Streaming Devices and Gaming Systems
- Connect to the "Dorms-Open" wireless network.
